About the Artist:
Nicky Hirst (born 1963, Nottingham) studied Fine Art at Maidstone College of Art (1985) and Art and Architecture at KIAD, Canterbury (1994). She lives and works in London.
Nicky Hirst is known for her subtle and elegant works, often incorporating commonplace materials that are designed to draw attention to the idiosyncrasies and psychological dimension of a given site or context. She employs a wide range of media which includes drawing, sculpture, print, etched glass, collage, text and photography.
