New community screenings
Head into Curzon this spring at Westgate Oxford to check out some of these community screenings events:
- Hard of Hearing: Every Tuesday morning and Thursday evening. These showings are subtitled. We usually choose a film in its second week of release and it's a different film every week. These showings are regular ticket prices.
- Relaxed: These showings are every Monday morning and have lower volume and brighter lighting as well as no adverts or trailers. Simply just the film in a more relaxed environment - great for those with neurodiversity. These showings are regular ticket prices.
- Baby Club: These are always really popular with new parents. Every week we choose a new film (again, usually in its second week of release) with lower volume and brighter lighting. It's important to note these are not kids films, they are regular films that new parents may not get the chance to see at regular screenings. It's also a great deal as for £8 you get the ticket, a coffee/tea and a medium popcorn. You have to have a baby with you to attend these screenings for safety reasons as mothers tend to breastfeed during the screening too. Also, they can be very noisy with all the babies so wouldn't be suitable for the average filmgoer.
- Dementia: These take place every month and are exactly the same as our Relaxed screenings with the addition of extra signage around the building to help guide the customers to the box office, toilet and exit. These showings are regular ticket prices
*Kids Club: *Every Saturday morning at 10:30. Every week we show a different kids film, usually released in the last few years, giving parents the chance to bring their kids to the cinema to see a film on the big screen. As with Baby Club, customers are only permitted to these screenings if they have a child aged 12 or under with them. Tickets are £5 for both Adults and Children.
All of our upcoming community screenings can be found via the film page on our website - you can also filter your search specifically for these showings.
