Sunshine dining - the best al fresco spots
Take a break from the bustle of the centre and grab a table with a view to watch the world go by. There’s fantastic food and drink being served outside - whether you’re after morning coffee, a light lunch or end-of-the-week sundowners.
Victors
Head straight out to the heated terrace to admire stunning views across the city and bask in the beauty of the garden in bloom. The setting is perfect for washing down small plates with a glass of crisp, cool wine. Team with seabass and scallop ceviche, or crab and yuzu tacos.

Sticks'n'Sushi
This picturesque seating area on the roof terrace is one of the best spots in the city for a foodie feast. Kick back and sample the flavours of both a sushi kitchen and the authentic yakitori street kitchen, meaning there’s something on the menu for everyone to enjoy.

Pizza Pilgrims
There's plenty of room for you to sit outside to enjoy your favourite slice at this family-friendly restautant with awesome private terrace and countryside views. Warm evenings are made for flavours of burrata and pesto, or smokey aubergine and lashings of parmesan.

The Alchemist
Specialising in molecular mixology cocktails, The Alchemist is renowned for its flaming atmosphere, creative drinks and all-day dining menu. There's everything from quick nibbles to mighty main courses with unexpected twists, all set off spectacularly on the terrace by the glorious Oxford rooftop backdrop.

Dirty Bones
Bringing the best flavours of the Big Apple to Oxford, Dirty Bones is a must-visit. Pull up a chair on the outside dining and drinking terrace and tuck into the likes of cheeseburger dumplings, chicken waffle buns or a Yankee dog. Cocktail hour, with £5 signature cocktails, is available Monday to Friday until 6pm.

Nando’s
Whether you like feasting on a half peri-peri chicken with chips and garlic bread, or filling up on a mushroom and halloumi pitta, there’s a combo for everyone on the Nando’s menu. And it tastes even better in the sunshine. Got a sweet tooth? Finish your meal with a Portuguese custard tart, which pairs perfectly with a Galão (Portuguese for latte!)
